I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
