Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
